SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

If you’re interested in submitting your work for publication in Blydyn Square Review, just email your full piece, pasted into the body of the email, to submissions@blydynsquarebooks.com. Use the subject line: Blydyn Square Review Submission.

Please do NOT send an attachment. We will not open any attachments.

And don’t forget: Blydyn Square Review uses a strict blind submissions process, so be sure NOT to include a cover letter, summary, or any identifying information in your email (other than your email address itself). Any submissions that come in with a name, cover letter, identifying information, or attachment will be deleted.

We are open to any kind of writing: fiction (long or short), poetry, creative nonfiction, essays–anything goes. There is no word limit or any other restrictions.

Poets: If you’d like to submit multiple pieces, you’re free to do so, though you should be aware that we only publish ONE poem per writer in any given issue, so it’s usually best to just send only your very best piece for consideration in any particular issue. Sending too many poems all at once won’t increase your chances of being selected (and may overwhelm our editors, leading them to believe you’re a little bit unhinged . . .). 🙂

If we like your piece, we’ll be in touch about publication and payment details. It’s as simple as that!

NOTE: We do NOT send rejections. We will only contact you if we decide to use your piece. Our usual reading time is 6 weeks, so if you haven’t heard from us within about 2 months, we’ve most likely decided against using your submission.

We look forward to reading your work and seeing your byline in the pages of Blydyn Square Review!
