| About the Author | Wini Tomczyk has always loved reading. Like lots of people who love to read, she dreamed of writing a book someday. Back in the 1990s, she and her daughter took a class at a local college. The class was about writing books for kids. Wini wrote some stories then, but set them aside. Only years later did she remember those stories and take another look at them. One seemed pretty good, so she teamed up with illustrator Paul Hernandez.
